An early teenage affair ends disastrously. Both pursue happiness, Andrew back in his home town of Bristol, and Geraldine eventually travels to new Zealand. A measure of happiness is achieved, but both experience difficulties in their relationships. Their pathways cross towards the end, but there are still problems to face.
