To resurrect the economy is going to take a "war-effort" intervention (monetary infusion) by the federal government. To preserve not only the resuscitated economy, but the resources that base it, is going to require a revision in the way we’ve been doing (exploiting, wasting, polluting) things. In this book I consider the ways and means that must be implemented, not only to get millions of people back into jobs (and keep them in homes). Whole new systems should be invented, implemented, installed -- plumbing, electrical, traffic and commuting, even housing and residence-realms. With price controls to prevent profiteering-inflation, the government infusion necessary to transform systems while re-forming employment problemes . . . it can work. It did for what we call the "War Effort" (mobilization for WW II).
