This collection of short stories was physically dragged with me over a life time before finally being typed anew -- this time onto electronic medium from the original electric or mechanically typed, hand corrected vellum sheets -- and coming to rest on the cloud. This typed and now published collection constitutes a gift to all and no-one from my work-a-day world retirement to one of the arts, philosophy and life. Written mostly as a young man in Belgium the stories represent some of the more imaginary turns of a youthful mind. Surrealism, existentialism, modernism: the likes of Robbe Grillet, Boris Vian, Jean Cocteau and Kurt Vonnegut show threads of influence throughout the warp and woof. Several recent stories complete the collection. There you will recognize the spirit of George Orwell or that of the peerless Ferdinand Celine, if you look carefully. The stories are torn from life, a life you will know well too, if not the one you were taught to see.
