Back Through the Tunnel

Tested in different ways, a close-knit family and friends struggle to maintain their integrity and values amid increasingly threatening times. In a beautiful home on rural property, there lived a family. In 2016, the owners, Jeff and Aimi Whitaker see a strange flash of light while driving through a tunnel. Upon their return home, things start to go wrong. Over the ensuing years, the world has been faced with one crisis after another. Extreme forest fires, drought, flooding, hurricanes, worldwide pandemic, wars, crime, poverty, political instability, and more. Aimi thinks back to better times and mentions that back in 2016, when they drove through the tunnel, it seemed like they entered a different universe. One that is going terribly wrong. Wishing things could be different, she hopes they could go back through to a better place. By 2027, the time when the novel opens, the family is under direct threat from persons unknown for reasons unknown. Dr. Michael Smith, a university professor is not the man he pretends to be. However, he is not the only one pretending to be someone they are not. As Jeff’s health deteriorates and the threats continue, the family wishes more than ever, they could go Back Through the Tunnel.
