In April 1945, Adolf Hitler waits to die in a bunker metres below the crumbling skyline of Berlin as Allied forces close in. But as his cruel mind festers, others are deciding their own destinies.

His long-time mistress Eva Braun has arrived, joining Hitler in ending their lives in the Führerbunker. She is a lonely, maligned woman who wants nothing more or less than her due place in the history books. A young German officer has other ideas. Called to lead the bunker's last stand, he is attracted by Eva's alluring mix of magnetism and fatalism, and decides to talk her out of her deadly pact.
