'"Wow Bobby! You seem to know a lot about skunks," said the impressed little mouse. Bobby nodded very carefully so his ears didn't wiggle and attract the skunk's attention. He didn't want the skunk to see them in their hiding place.
"I learned the hard way," said Bobby the Bunny as he lowered himself on the ground. "It was a beautiful evening so I went for a bunny-hop. I didn't see the skunk in the dark of the night until it was too late; when I startled him, he sprayed me! I had to roll around in the tomato garden for weeks to get rid of that smell!" said Bobby as his whiskers flittered under his button-nose. Just the thought of what happened seemed to make Bobby very nervous. Even his cute cotton-tail was twitching as he told the story.'
