See the world of 4-year-old Samantha Pruitt as told by her imaginary friend.

Samantha lives with a loving father, although he’s a drunk. And her stepmother is verbally and physically abusive toward her. When an accident kills her father and her stepmother becomes her sole guardian, Samantha is trapped in a home of abuse. She escapes the horror of daily life with her imaginary friend. They go on adventures that mask and repress the reality she experiences.

Samantha soon learns about a group of people who help children with bad parents find new and good ones. She and her imaginary friend devise a plan to forever rid life of her stepmother and be happy. It’ll take hard work, courage, and imagination to reach her goal. But she’s determined to do it … no matter the cost.
