I wrote this book of poetry with children in mind, although adults may enjoy my sense of humor as well. There are many images in this book and the accompanying poem was written specifically for that image. I have used some experiences from my own youth to write these poems, but I did exaggerate scenes and themes to make them more enjoyable to a younger audience. I believe poetry should be fun to read at an early age and not be restricted to tight poetic rules. Most of my poems are free verse and generally do have a moral lesson revealed at the end. The illustrations are all one of a kind original images created by me. They are also fanciful and fun to look at, which I think children of all ages will enjoy. I tried to use language which a child would understand, but I was more concerned with the flow of the poem and some words may be above some readers. I think this is a good thing because it gets a child used to a dictionary, which exposes them to more words and offers a chance to expand their own imaginations.
