Science is the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation and experiments. Theories involving science must be tested against facts established by observed and confirmed natural properties. If the facts differ from the theory, then the theory must be considered to be invalid and modified or discarded. Greeks, thousands of years ago, developed concepts for reasoning and evaluation called deductive and inductive reasoning. Following these concepts enables the evaluation of ideas to determine if they are based upon valid facts that are proven. These concepts are missing from the current content of the education system. Therefore, the basis for the valid review or analysis, of what is presented in our schools or political discussions, is missing. I suggest that this content should be added to our education system to improve discernment, Some of our major universities now prevent public presentation of information that differs from what is being taught.
