Advent for Inquiring Minds

Jesus was a Jew, and salvation history is really a history of the Jewish or Hebrew people. Today we are able to look at this history and see the many foreshadowings of Jesus, our Messiah. The Jewish people also recognize these prophecies, but they are still looking for their Messiah. This book contains a topic or person for each day of Advent, beginning with creation and ending with the birth of Jesus. Each chapter has a Bible passage, an explanation and a prayer, and a suggestion for an ornament for a Jesse tree, an Advent tradition. They are suitable for family devotions or personal reflection.
