Within Malta Child Vivien Jones takes aspects of her childhood growing up as the daughter of a British Naval officer in 1950s Malta to paint an evocative and rich short memoir. Foreign smells, taste and culture are brought into focus through family life.

Vivien Jones is a professional writer with years of experience writing published collections, projects, journals and anthologies. Her work has appeared in various press and one of the sections of Malta Child has been presented on Radio 4.
