Where do you go when there is nowhere to go? When you look around and you see that life has corrupted your youth and emotionally you are dying a slow meaningless death each day you wake up? In this African American coming of age story Benny, a 16-year-old dope boy has finally become sick of his crack-addicted mother and has grown weary of his friends and their street life mentality and longs for something more outside of Oklahoma City or as Benny calls it Original Killa City. After finding a magazine inside a crack head's car that shows Irvine, California on the cover as the safest city in America, Benny sees the freedom he longs for. He can finally turn away from his dope boy blues and reinvent himself. But after some unforeseen events leave him stranded in a small town in the middle of nowhere and a chance encounter with a young prostitute, Benny has to come to a decision. Does he truly leave the street life alone for better days, or does he go back to what is familiar?
