Marcus' feeling of anger was overwhelming after being put back in the 5th grade and then again following the death of his father at age 12, and growing up with a neglectful mother. It didn't help when close to high school graduation he learned that he didn't win his dream football scholarship that would have been his ticket to college and a better life.
With no money to finance his college education, Marcus is left behind, broken, as his friends, including his best friend, Kevin, move on, with their football scholarships, to better their lives. He felt that the only person he now had was his high school sweetheart, Mira.
But soon, lead by this overwhelming anger, Marcus made all the wrong life choices, playing Mr. Casanova with the women, destroying Mira's love for him. He traveled down a near-tragic path, until his friend, Kevin, a Christian man, threw him a lifeline – prayer and the introduction to the Lord Jesus.
