Meanwhile, a flashback to the war years of Miller's nemesis, teahouse owner Osamu Nagai, explains the origins of his not inconsiderable wealth. As for Imperial Army veteran Kazuyoshi Ueda, his induction into Jun Obuchi's yakuza gang has met with considerable success, until the day when matters take an unexpected turn.
