After enduring a tumultuous childhood I found myself alone and hurt. I was now in my teens and living with friends, I had run away and told myself I could make it on my own. My downward spiral started early, I would be expelled from school several times and the generosity of friends quickly diminished. I would work odd jobs and stay with random people hoping someone could save me from myself. My brother would introduce me to my biological father and all my hopes and dreams I knew would come true. After reality set in he walked away, I was alone again. With the help of my fathers ex-girlfriend I went back to school. For the first time in my young life someone had reached out a hand and said the words I longed to hear; Are you okay. I would attend school and achieve A's and B's and eventually graduate. After a brief time in the military I went to college and earned a degree so I could work at a local hospital. With the encouragement from my brother in law I started a career in law enforcement, in 2002 I would be involved in a accident where my vehicle would flip end over end several times. I would walk away with broken ribs and a concussion. However in 2007 while driving home I was rear ended by another vehicle traveling 65 mph. My law enforcement career was over and I was still hurting from my past. Life is a journey, we all make mistakes and experience heartache What sets each individual apart is there determination to move Forward and allow us to share the greatest gift of all; LOVE
