The House Dick

Sean is a house detective for a high-tone hotel in downtown Seattle. Having recently taken early retirement from the Seattle Police Department, Sean needed a job, but his easy night shift turns into trouble when the body of a felon, who Sean beat into a near coma while on the force, is found at the bottom of the hotel’s back stairs after a very private party.

Now a prime suspect, Sean must track down the three working girls last seen with the dead pimp and find out who had a motive to kill Leroy. While covering for the porn star Scarlet O’Toole, who illegally headlined the private party, Sean must juggle a dangerous Seattle vice-lord, the dead felon’s minions and the Seattle homicide unit. Between dodging police detectives and the vice-lord’s imported muscle, Sean is kept busy.

Sean’s investigation leads him from a members-only yacht club to a rusting trailer park as he uses his contacts and familiarity with Seattle’s darker side to help him stay one step ahead of his enemies and track down a killer he can feed to the police.
