Shan Hai Legend, created by Hiro in 2016, is a comic which draws on the ancient Chinese literary work The Classic of Mountains and Seas. It follows the “demons” from the world of Mountains as they live in the modern era. The first volume is now complete, and the second volume is in production.

In a day when more and more illustrators are relying on technology to create their artwork, Hiro has persisted in creating her works by hand. She creates images full of the grace of the East, one stroke of the brush at a time.
