Dreamers and Deceivers is an astonishing book. Although these are factual accounts from our past, it does not read like a history book. Rather the author, Glenn Beck, has presented each story as a miniature novel based in fact. Using this technique Beck has created a work which is not only easy to read, but a pleasure to read as well. His insights into the various 'characters' and their personalities lend a realism to the reading which draws you into the story. Rather than a dry set of facts, Dreamers and Deceivers gives you enough information about each person to allow you to imagine what they might have been like, while revealing their often hidden histories.
