Takin' The Shot

Fat, ugly, worthless. Those are words that Spencer Reeves has heard her whole life. She doesn't have model looks like her sister Tinsley does. In fact, she's the polar opposite. She's short, curvy, and has bright red hair. When she goes to college, boys are not part of her plan. Until she meets Logan.

Logan Kade only ever had one dream. He wanted to be an Emergency Room doctor. He busted his butt to get into a prestigious medical school. When his dad dies from his drinking habit, Logan is forced to return home and run his dad's bar, Takin' The Shot. He's moody, irritable, and an all around douchebag now that his dream has been taken away. It's not until Spencer stumbles into his bar that his view on the world changes.

Logan takes one look at Spencer and can tell how shy and innocent she is. He also notices that she doesn't think very highly of herself. It becomes his mission to make her see herself for how truly beautiful she is.

Not everyone is happy when they start to see each other. Will taking the shot lead to a happily ever after for them? Or are there some things that even the strongest of love can't overcome?
