In 1890s Kyoto, Atsuka is a beautiful and elegant geisha in the district of Ponto-chō. Having lost her family and her childhood home, she has gained a measure of independence and respect in her profession, and her evenings are filled with mesmerizing stories, songs, and entertainment. During the first snowfall of the season, however, her comfortable routine is disrupted by the appearance of a handsome young traveler at the teahouse.
