圖書簡介In this striking volume, photojournalist Liebenberg has collected images he made during the late 1980s to document the final years of the so-called Border War between South Africa and liberation forces in what is now Namibia, and also against the military forces of neighboring Angola. Photos also show the transition to majority rule in Namibia, a transition that marked the beginning of the end of the apartheid regime in South Africa. An introduction and an essay by Hayes (history, University of the Western Cape) puts the photos into polictial and historical context, and Liebenberg himself tells the stories behind selected photographs at the end of the book.
