A Jealous God

Emma, a high-powered attorney on the fast-track to partnership, realizes after conceiving a badly deformed baby that there are other women whose unborn children are suffering the same plight. Emboldened past the point of ethical qualms, she does some digging and discovers that geography and history aren't all they share; there is a secret, hidden for years, the truth of which threatens to destroy the fabric of all their lives.
