Lynn Milburn Lansford has over 15 years experience working in international children’s relief programs, and is executive director and founder of the non-profit aid organization Romanian Ties. She has worked in Romanian orphanages, organized major surgical projects in Bucharest, and delivered literally tons of relief supplies to health institutions throughout Romania. In October of 2004, she traveled to Beslan, Russia, to deliver relief supplies and thousands of stuffed animals to the grief-stricken victims of the Beslan tragedy. Ms. Lansford has won numerous awards for her humanitarian work. She has published several articles, and authored a chapter on her experience as an adoptive mother in the book The Complete Guide to Foreign Adoption, by Carole McKelvey and Dr. Barbara Bascom. She is also an award-winning photographer, and has exhibited photographs throughout the United States. She was listed in the 2003 Edition of Who’s Who of American Women. Ms. Lansford lives in Austin, Texas with her husband. She is the mother of seven children, and grandmother of five. In addition, she leads a study group in "A Course in Miracles."
