Jeanene Cooper graduated from the University of Michigan, teaching English and public speaking in the public schools for over twenty years before leaving education to pursue a career in writing. A number of her essays and short stories have been showcased at northern Michigan’s Gildner Gallery, including ＂Limbo＂ which received first place distinction in the 2005 A-SEED juried exhibition. In 2009, her first novel IF I SHOULD NEVER WAKE was selected by Independent Publishers to receive the Bronze IPPY Medal for Best Regional Fiction in the Great Lakes Region. A Michigan native, Jeanene currently resides at the Tip of the Mitt with her husband and two sons.
