Home Is Where The Heart Is, a compilation of memories about growing-up in the rural South, tells an interesting and humorous story of a youth well-spent and will spark the reader's own nostalgic recollections of times gone by when life was defined in simpler terms. The initial chapters provide an intimate glimpse of the author's family history along a path that goes from pre-Civil War Mississippi to New Mexico and Arizona before they were states, to Brazil, South America, back to Arizona, and finally home again to Mississippi. Then, through one heart-warming story after another, the reader is given the opportunity to share the author's pure pleasure of growing-up in Gore Springs, Mississippi.

Arnold Dyre practiced law in Jackson, Mississippi for over thirty year. Now living in Madison, Mississippi, and mostly retired from active law practice, he frequently fishes and writes a weekly newspaper column for The Daily Star in Grenada, Mississippi. Dyre’s columns are mostly nostalgic and humorous tales of experiences growing up in the Grenada County community of Gore Springs. Home Is Where The Heart Is represents Dyre’s first book and is a compilation of some of his newspaper articles and other similar tales. He also writes poetry and short stories and has completed a soon-to-be-published novel of the legal-thriller variety entitled Untruths and Truths Untold.
