Tomie dePaola is a children’s book icon, having published more than 260 titles over the past 50 years. His work has sold nearly 25 million copies and been published in more than 15 countries. DePaola is also a longstanding award-winner; he has received the Caldecott Honor, the Newbery Honor, the James Smithson Medal, the Catholic Library Association’s Regina Medal, and was the US nominee in illustration for the Hans Christian Andersen Award in 1990. He lives and works out of his New Hampshire home. Sanna Anderson Baker taught children’s literature, creative writing, and poetry at Wheaton College. She authored four children’s books as well as numerous poems. With God Is Great, God Is Good, her lyrical text reimagines God’s words of comfort as a celebration of Earth.
