This book has lots of characters, lots of emotion, and lots of adventure, but no plot. Over the years the author has profiled more than 150 ordinary people of San Marcos and Hays County, Texas. These profiles were published in the San Marcos Daily Record. Some of these tales have historical value; some are inspirational; and some are poignant. But one thing is certain. They all have a lot of heart. The author goes beyond the telling of the tale. He gets into the heart of the individuals whose lives he shares. He allows them and their neighbors to plumb the depths of those "ordinary" people he found behind the sales counter; aboard the fire engine; or shepherding 25 kindergartners across the street.
