Runt to Warrior

Runt to Warrior is abbreviated memoirs of the Authors first 17 years and 10 month of his life. The childhood portion contains only events and episodes that have in some way a direct bearing and impact on his being able to function with some dignity and success in the roll of, "A United States Army Infantry Combatant," for a period of 101 days in the war against the German Army during WW11.

At the conclusion of WW11 Private First Class Irvin Lee Boring was discharged from the Army and after 2 years of civilian life decides his niche is in the military. He reenlists in the Army and in six years, with just eight years of formal education attains the rank of First Sergeant.
