John W. Holbrook served in the Army Air Corps from his induction on October 29, 1943 to his separation on November 7, 2945. Although this book chronicles many of the missions on which John flew, it is mostly a light hearted tale of friendship and survival in the army. These are the stories that made it to the Holbrook dinner table and were joked about with his friends. These are the stories that have survived the years and will likely live on long after John.
