David Richards is a banker and newly-promoted branch manager in the San Francisco Bay Area. A wealthy customer of the bank invites him, along with several other business associates to spend a weekend at a private deer hunting camp in the Yolla Bolly Mountains. Richards is excited at the prospect as he has not been hunting since moving to the metropolitan Bay Area. During the course of the weekend a shooting accident occurs, and a poacher is killed.
