Standing beside this mystical gateway was a man wearing a dark robe. He raised his right hand and pointed one bony finger at Katrina. Between Katrina and the otherworldly portal was one of the maggot creatures, and another one was squirming its way through the gateway. Behind that she could see scores more, perhaps hundreds more, all clamoring, pushing and shoving to reach the portal to escape from their own abyssal hell, to emerge here in Mar Delenne. It would be up to them to stop this hellish invasion." Young Katrina, training to be a warrior of both the blade and the mind, finds herself suddenly cursed with an immense and awful power, and at the center of a struggle for world domination.
