As I have said in my book, I have always loved writing short stories and poems. Well, this is one of my success stories. I have spoken about my life for so long. I have finely put it into words. It was a lot harden than I had thought, not the writing part, but putting it all together. I started writing my book when my son, John, passed away on October 6, 2002. It has been great therapy and a blessing for me. I also have opened an outreach center in John's memory. It is called John's Place. John's Place makes donation and helps locate resources and services in our community. This is my way of keeping John's memory alive. My childhood was like a fairytale. I often think of those days and long to be there again. My mother and father were the potters that held the clay together, and they molded each and every one of their nine children to be the best that they could be. I have never regretted anything I have done. I just wish I could have done more. Of all of my success stories, my biggest accomplishment was raising my three wonderful, loving Christian sons. Donny, John and Billy are the light of my life and my six grandchildren: Jonathan, Christopher, Elizabeth, Joshua, Adam and Casey. My biggest inspiration is the Lord, he has been by my side through it all, the good, the bad and all the storms of life. I would be nothing without the Lord. He had my life all planned out for me. In the battlefields I have received many scars and it has made me a stronger and better person. The Lord said "I will never leave your or forsake you," and He never did.
