Upon becoming a christian, a person's attitude and behaviour does not automatically change to the standard prescribed by Jesus Christ. While the Holy Spirit will come to dwell in a young believer, the extent to which He will control and direct the young believer's character will depend on the extent to which he/she surrenders his/her life. The Holy Spirit never forces a person to do or not to do an act; He advises. The more a person is able to take the quiet advices of the Holy Spirit, the more he/she grows in his christian behaviour. "Becoming a better Christain," written under the direction of the Holy Spirit, is aimed at guiding a christian on what to do and what not to do so that his/her character can tend, on daily basis, towards that of Jesus Christ, our perfect example. The book is rich in Bible references so that the reader is not only sure that the contents are in accordance with the Holy Bible, he/she also becomes more knowledgeable in the word of God.
