Arnold Dyre practiced law in Jackson, Mississippi for over thirty years. Now living in Jackson, Mississippi, and retired from active law practice, he frequently fishes and writes a weekly newspaper column for the Grenada Star in Grenada, Mississippi. Dyre’s columns are mostly nostalgic and humorous tales of experiences growing up in Mississippi’s Grenada County community of Gore Springs. Many of the stories in Dyre’s first book, Home Is Where The Heart Is, and in the sequel, Home Again, first appeared as newspaper articles. Dyre’s newspaper columns are personal essays, but he also writes poetry and short stories and has completed two novels of the legal thriller variety which remain unpublished at this time.
