Dead in Winter: An Addy Van Den Bos Mystery

When David Kayson, senior professor at Rankin School of Social Work, is found slumped over his desk with a knife protruding from his back, social worker and adjunct professor Addy van den Bos is accused of murdering him.

In an attempt to clear her name, Addy is forced to dig into Kayson's life in order to find his true killer and in the process, unearths shocking details about Kayson's conduct as a professor. Just as Addy is cleared of the charges, she discovers her beloved mentor, Natalie Cruz, dead from a blow to the head. Addy immediately deduces her friend was murdered simply because she was helping her investigate Kayson's death-a suspicion that leads her to believe the two crimes are linked. She has no choice but to continue her search not only for the killer, but also the motives behind both murders. As she probes deeply into Kayson's past, she runs headlong into her own family secrets.

Addy must balance a fine line between maintaining her professionalism with clients who may hold the answers and bringing the truth to light. But little does she know that her own life may be in jeopardy.
