Hollis Earl Johnson is qualified to write the book due to his experience, especially the emotional hurt caused by suffering the racism that once was so inherently common in America. He experienced a childhood that went beyond racism and caused him to question his own self-worth or esteem. He worked in the Building Maintenance Engineering field for twenty years and now works as a security officer for a large security company. He lives in Mililani, Hawaii.
