Bicycles and Buddhists: Encounters with a Sustainable-Living Community

The author was born in 1944 and raised in the small coastal towns of the Pacific Northwest. She attended medical school and was trained to be an anesthesiologist in southern California, returning to the Pacific Northwest to raise a son, do some country living, and practice anesthesiology for 25 years. She is now retired.
