Open Source Software: Comparing Productivity: Studying Short-Term Effects of Desktop Migration to Open Source Software on Employee Productivity

Bassam Bokhowa is from Bahrain and lectures at the Arab Open University there. Before that, he had spent 12 years’ in the IT field as project manager at Bahrain’s Telecoms Company. Bassam’s been interested in Open Source projects for his graduating students on both the server as well as the desktop side. His current research has helped fuel interest in a field much in need of further study for practical organizational application by IT managers and CIOs worldwide.
