Growing up during the sixties and seventies in the affluent suburbs of Detroit, Jennifer Embury endured the shame and confusion of living with her father's secret gay lifestyle and subsequent murder, as well as long-term physical and emotional abuse that took place in the household during her childhood and teenage years. The trauma resulted in her addiction to promiscuous relationships and drug and alcohol abuse. This is a love letter to each of the men in her life, and how these relationships brought her closer to a transformative relationship with God. This is also the story of how she became victorious over her addictive behavior through her faith, by experiencing the love, grace, and redemption of Jesus Christ.
