Joseph M. Hanneman has been writing compelling human-interest stories for more than 25 years as a magazine editor, newspaper reporter and owner of a small communications business. He has interviewed and written about war heroes, pioneers, best-selling authors, cancer survivors, governors, priests and presidential hopefuls. The story of his father’s battle with terminal lung cancer proved his most personal - and most rewarding - writing endeavor. He is a Fourth Degree mem-ber of the Knights of Columbus. Like his father, he served as deputy grand knight and warden of his local Knights of Columbus council. He and his family belong to St. Rita Catholic Church. He holds bachelor’s degrees in journalism and political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He lives in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, with his wife Sue and their three children, Stevie, Samantha and Ruby.
