Dr. Timothy Scharold is board certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics and has additional training in diabetes, cholesterol, and hypertension. Throughout his 20 years of practicing medicine, he has dealt daily with the results of unhealthy diets. Because he was spending so much of time with patients discussing their bad cholesterol and glucose levels, advising them on strategies for improvement, he decided to search for simple ways to help his patients improve their diets. Unfortunately, most information he found was confusing, complicated, and overwhelming. Finally, he came up with his own outline that distills the basics for healthy eating into one simple plan.
