Why is prayer so often treated as generic, uneventful, cliché, and a last resort? Most likely because very few people experience consistent, victorious, measurable progress, that comes as a direct result of prayer. The average person treats prayer as an afterthought when all their own efforts have failed. Still, others vainly labor away in prayer, but never partake of any discernible answers from God. Subsequently, the world’s familiarity with true, biblically-sound prayer that is recognized and honored by the Lord Jesus Christ, is a rarity and quite a tragedy. Even so, God never intended for man and prayer to be strangers. In fact, He commanded that purposeful prayer be an integral part of a born-again believer’s very life and nature. Jesus says in Luke 18:1, "men ought always to pray, and not to faint . . ." Paul the apostle likewise says in 1st Thessalonians 5:17 to "pray without ceasing." This book explains what the world be like if these simple exhortations were obeyed?
