PEGGY A. ARNETT grew up listening to ＂Inner Sanctum＂ and ＂I Love A Mystery＂ on the radio, and seeing cliffhangers at Saturday matinees for eleven cents admission. She retired from teaching students in an inner-city high school, and taught memoir writing to seniors in retirement homes. She has filled nearly a hundred journals. Like her protagonist, Lola Bakken, she was a Minneapolis Realtor who listed and sold houses around Lake Minnetonka. Now in her eighties, she continues to write. SOMEBODY WANTS YOU DEAD takes place in fictional towns that border Lake Minnetonka, a very real lake near Minneapolis.
