Dawn was born and raised in the Midwest, in the beautiful state of South Dakota. She has had the privilege of visiting a large majority of the states and has resided in several of them. When she finally settled down in Kansas, Dawn took the opportunity to get back to writing. Inspired by her children to create a story they would love, she moved from poetry and short stories to the novel that became Reining In. She has since discovered a renewed passion for writing and continues to work on novels to come.
