Jainism at a Glance: A Religion of Non-Violence

The book traces the antiquity of Jainism, delineates its basic principles, and explains its significant aspects such as the nature of the soul, doctrine of Karma, the concept of god, and the salvation path. The book is driected at a younger generation of Jains born and raised outside India, and highlights the Jain way of living happily. It examines Jainism in the broader context of Indian history and culture.

Subhash C. Jain is a Professor of International Business, Director of the Center for International Business Education and Researcg (CIBER), and Director of the GE Global Learning Center, at the University of Connecticut, School of Business. Dr. Jain has presented seminars both in the United States and abroad, on various topics including global marketing strategy, export strategy and global business negotiations. He serves as a consultant to different companies and governments worldwide. He is the author of more than 100 publications including 12 books. He holds a Ph.D. and MBA from the University of Oregon; and a B.Com and M.Com from the University of Rajasthan (India).
