Lacey was happy with her life, though boring, it was routine and simple. Nothing exciting happened to her, but that was probably for the best. She was living on her own for the first time, making her own choices, being an adult, living it up in the big city.
One night after coming home from work, she witnessed a disturbing and brutal attack on a young man who lived in her complex. It was so, violent and tragic, but, despite the horror of it all, she thought the worse was over. That is, until the boy she saw, slashed, cut up, beaten and sprawled out on the bloody street, suddenly showed up pressed against her balcony window.
Obviously something is wrong.
