Don’’t be a Doofwackle

As children grow up they will go through many changes. While most are very easy to deal with, hearing your child repeat bad words can be a shocking experience for all parents. Given the amount of strangers that our children come in contact with in their lives at playgrounds, friends houses, and many other places they might frequent, there is a very good chance they will hear and repeat words that are not pleasing to the ear. It is for this reason that we must give them a device to deal with this pressure to "fit in" so they feel comfortable in all situations. Empower your children with a way to avoid saying the bad words that we all hear in life. Help your child with his or her list. Laugh with them as they use their imaginations and verbal skills to create words that will be more pleasing to the ear and more acceptable for a child to say.

I am the mother of 4 children (3 of them adults now) and the grandmother of 4. Their imaginations have always intrigued me. They create their own worlds to fit the kind of person they are within their own minds, which is in a way genius. It helps them to develop a good sense of self and to grow up feeling satisfied with their childhood memories.
