Football, A Memoir

Looking back on my life through years of playing touch football, I've got to ask: Has it been silly or serious, ordinary or special, prosaic or Homeric? Who knows? It's my life and I'm sticking with it.

Bernard Mendillo grew up in Providence, Rhode Island. He studied writing at Brown University - where he earned a B.A. in English and an M.A. in Playwrighting. He has had 11 full-length plays produced - two of them off-off-Broadway and others regionally in upstate New York, Massachusetts and Los Angeles. He has published two novels: Dancing Naked with the Devil and Marvin Piersoll. Football is his first memoir. He lives in Canton, Massachusetts.
