Tom Locke was born in Dayton, Ohio in 1930 at the height of the Great Depression. He lost both his parents by the time he was a freshman at The Ohio State University, which had a profound effect on his life. With the Korean War in progress, he enlisted in the Marine Corps. After an honorable discharge at the rank of Sergeant, he returned to Ohio State and earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism in 1955. He served as editor of the OSU campus newspaper, The Lantern. Married in 1956, to his college sweetheart, Saundra Rhoades, they settled in Canton, Ohio and raised 3 children. Recently retired after a lifetime of writing newspaper ads, radio and television commercials and scripts for institutional and corporate feature films, this is Locke’s first book.
