Henrietta F. Ford was raised in eastern North Carolina and was endowed with memories of summer trips to the Outer Banks, long walks on unspoiled beaches, and ferry rides that seemed to take forever. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and two graduated degrees from Middle Tennessee State University. After teaching twenty-two years, the author retired to write mysteries. She now resides in Virginia. She enjoys sailing, Tai Chi and traveling.
